What are the causes and treatment?

Plantar warts come from an infection for a virus called HPV. The scientific term is the human papillomavirus. There are over 100 types of HPV but a few of them cause these types of warts.

HPV is very common in our society. It's easily transmitted and spread by the public. The interesting thing about it is how so many people respond differently when exposed to it? Is it treating you the wrong way?

How are Plantar Warts spread?

These types of warts can thrive in areas like warm and moist environments. This can include shower floors, swimming pools and locker rooms. The more publicly popular these areas are, the more you should be sensitive to the risks and effects that can happen in these area.

If your skins have things like scrapes, cuts, dry skin, or may even softened skins from a lot of water exposure, this can cause you to have a great risk of getting the warts.

As far as treatment, there are remedies for warts that can be purchased from drug stores or online. But treatment is important and prevention moving forward is key.

If you or your family are in area that are public with moist floors such as showers or pools, strongly encourage the use of sandals wherever possible to not get more exposure to this or other nasty infections which can occur.

These warts can tend to spread by touching a wart and then touching another part of the body. Some risks that go into making other people vulnerable include sharing risky things like razors, towels, and other personal shower items that should not be shared.

Some symptoms that show up w/ warts are hard to generalize because of the variation that different people can experience them with. There are some warts that may be a rough looking surface while others may be flatter and smoother which make them less noticeable. But they are warts nonetheless. Typically the skin lines will look disrupted by a wart and that will be a sure fire sign to look for here on the warts.

I hope you have found my publication on plantar warts helpful and I thank you for participating.
